This is a short newsletter to bring you up to speed with how the club has done this year and to share some important dates with you as a matter of urgency.

DATES

Monday April 18th – Club A.G.M – 8 p.m. at the Beacon Pub, Beacon Road, Loughborough. PLEASE come along and put forward your views on this season. Remember if you do not contribute then please do not have a moan at those who are doing their best.

Friday April 29th – Club End of Season Buffet at The Quality Hotel in Loughborough – Quality food with quality company! £9.50 per head from 6 p.m. This is to be followed by the Leicestershire Badminton Association Presentation Evening at the same venue from 8 p.m. Tickets for this are £4.50 if ordered beforehand and £5 on the door. PLEASE contact Carol on 550207 urgently if you want to attend either or preferably both of the above.

Thanks indeed to Emma Hendry & Andy Cheuk who have been inspirational running the Junior Club on Mondays. You have done a great job! Thanks too to all the team captains who have largely done an excellent job in helping us fulfil our fixtures this year.

Further success this year has been our club’s involvement in the County’s Veteran’s teams.
Over 40s – Zhiyin Yang, Andy Cheuk and John Sleath 2nd in League
Over 50s – David Wilson & Chris Wardle East Midlands Winners!!!
Over 55s – Carol Harding, Ray Harding, Esther Hutcheson & Ko Leong 2nd

SUMMER CLUB – This is now running on Fridays from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Leisure Centre. Cost is £3 per night but this could rise if numbers are down as each evening should cover its costs. Further information is available from Chris Wilkins or Ko Leong.

RESULTS – This is a record of how the teams have done subject to confirmation by the L.B.A
